Hyper Realistic painter from Chile, who has been living in Mexico since 1993, he has presented collective and individual expositions in Spain, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Chile since 1985 and up to these days. He completed a Master’s degree in Visual Arts from the National Autonomous University of Mexico at the San Carlos Academy.

His latest individual exposition “la Presencia de las Cosas” was in December 2011 at the Arturo Herrera Cabañas Foundation in the city of Pachuca, Hidalgo.

He has also taught at the School of Painting, Sculpting and Engraving “La Esmeralda”, which is a part of the Bellas Artes National Institute in Mexico City. Likewise, at the School of Design and Architecture of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico, and is currently teaching Painting and Drawing at the Universidad Iberoamericana.

His body of work has evolved aesthetically from expressionism -worried about the concept of sacrifice and by poetry as a central motif of its work-, to the mixture of different syntax within a relative and postmodern position of the artistic languages , the discourse is the way in which the art is configured as an expression of its author in the quoting of classical works and the usage of languages taken from popular culture, or a subtle kitsch joined by a discourse engraved by the passions of the everyday life, love, pain and mixed feelings from the experience of living.

He is currently working in simple objects in which the contemplation is filled with poetry, whose simplicity looks to come as close as possible to the apprehension of the object and the reflection of its beauty through hyperrealism.
